Poppy Crum
Presented as a keynote during the Fall 2021 Convention, Poppy Crum's talk deals with how the increasingly sophisticated world of interaction, personal data and internet technology intersects with human nature, ethics and needs. How is technology going to shape us, where and how should we apply our development efforts? she asks. Technology has the power to know more about us than we know ourselves, it's proposed. The plasticity of our brains is remarkable, and technology may help us to hear more acutely or see more see more sharply, but we should take a more proactive stance about who and what we want to become.
