The paper describes the construction, calibration and use of a permeameter, specifically with respect to its ability to measure magnets in a size and configuration heretofore not possible. The materials and methods employed to minimize yoke errors are emphasized. The calibration technique is explained and resulting curves shown. Measurement procedure is discussed and a typical demagnetization curve is given with estimated limits of error.
