Improvement of Signal-to-Noise Ratio in Long-Term MLS Measurements with High-Level Nonstationary Disturbances

Document Thumbnail

A simple scheme for the automatic improvement of signal-to-noise ratio in long-term maximum-length sequence measurements with high-level nonstationary disturbances is presented. The mean square value of each receiver signal frame is normalized, leading to the deemphasis of frames with low signal-to-noise ratios. Equations for the calculation of the improvement are given, and the performance is illustrated by simulation examples.
