The acoustic waveguide concept first introduced in 1987 has gained little understanding within the industry despite fundamental limitations inherent in traditional horn theory. To illustrate the practical feasibility of acoustic waveguides, measurements of a proven, functional device are presented that demonstrate the many advantages of this approach.
