A suggested "in the field" method for aligning transducers within a loudspeaker system via a digital signal processor is presented. Cone drivers and horn-loaded compression drivers are addressed in adjacent passband (crossover) applications. Selection of crossover frequencies and filter slopes, driver alignment, and required digital signal delay resolution are discussed. The resulting frequency, phase, and polar response effects are illustrated in the examples of measurement data.
