A simple transformation of classical binomial confidence limits provides exact confidence limits for the results of a listening test, such as the popular ABX test. These limits are for the proportion of known correct responses, as distinguished from guessed correct responses. Similarly, a point estimate is obtained for the proportion of known correct responses. The transformed binomial limits differ, often markedly, from those obtained by the Bayesian method.
