Endless Loop Magnetic Tape Tree

The introduction of four-track pre-recorded magnetic tape to be reproduced at a play speed of 3-3/4 ips permitted the use of several manufacturing techniques new to the recording industry. One of these techniques involved the use of an endless loop master tape. This paper describes the design and development of the -tape tree- used to transport the endless loop tape.
