A bridge amplifier with balanced differential inputs, balanced outputs, and a floating power supply for the final stages is described. Like a transformer, its output stage operates independent of ground, but with a much wider frequency range and lower total harmonic distortion. The amplifier is composed of a single amplifier with two feedback loops. Two output stages are driven simultaneously in a push-pull manner by means of a symmetrical and complementary differential circuit.
