A new diaphragm has been devised, in the form of two short, wide cantilevers, back to back. The voice coil is a flat elongated spiral. By using sandwich construction, the diaphragm resonance should be very high in frequency, giving freedom from breakup over the entire working range and beyond. An improved bellows surround and cabinet are also discussed.
