Augmented Passive Radiator Loudspeaker Systems, Part 1

Document Thumbnail

The augmented passive-radiator loudspeaker system is a natural extension of both the vented-box and the drone-cone systems. Additional radiation associated with the augmented passive radiator provides an additional degree of design freedom, which permits the duplication of any vented-box or drone-cone alignment as well as the realization of new alignments having improved low-frequency performance. Driver and passive-radiator displacement requirements are similar to those of the drone-cone system.
