A tweeter using a new magnetic circuit provides for a larger diaphragm area and can be used at lower frequencies. Pole-piece surfaces are of special design, forming uniform horizontal flux at the driving coil and forcing all surfaces of the diaphragm to vibrate in phase. Th'tweeter has a wide and flat frequency characteristic from 2 kHz to greater than 50 kHz. A new process is used for producing a flexible thermostable film for the diaphragm which yields improved high-temperature performance.
