Synthesis of High-Pass Filtered Loudspeaker Systems: Part 1-Isolated Filters Driving Second Order (Closed-Box) Systems

Document Thumbnail

Transfer functions and synthesis procedures are given for isolated high-pass filtered loudspeaker systems of third and fourth orders. Parameter values over ranges of practical interest are presented in tabular and graphical form. Typical response curves are given by way of examples in confirmation of the synthesis data and to illustrate the composition of the synthesized responses from the filter and loudspeaker components. Examples of the effects of voice-coil inductance and component tolerances are included.
