Passive-Radiator Loudspeaker Systems Part 1: Analysis

Document Thumbnail

The passive-radiator loudspeaker system is a close relative of the vented-box sysem and is capable of similar low-frequency performance. The passive radiator may be of any area but should preferably have a suspension with high compliance and low mechanical losses. It should also possess a linear volume displacement limit at least twice that of the system driver.
