A Discrete Four-Channel Disc and Its Reproducing System (CD-4 System)

Document Thumbnail

A newly developed discrete four-channel disc recording system with its associated reproducing system is described. It involves a new modulation method in which a modulated carrier cuts the 45/45 stereo groove. The four discrete input channels can then be replayed through an economical reproducer. The compatibility of the system with normal two-channel stereo is discussed.
