A high-power solid-state amplifier is described which incorporates circuitry for instantaneous protection against overdissipation and damage due to load mismatch, overheating, inductive or capacitive load, and short circuit. Audio output is limited but not interrupted in the event of overload or improper thermal conditions. Input and output transformers are utilized for isolation and power distribution.
