The Status of Broadcast Cartridge Design

The broadcast cartridge, which spawned the entire 8-track market, has remained essentially stagnant while a vast design effort has been put into the 8-track cartridge. Many of those advances can now be fed back to benefit the broadcaster. Tape guidance is discussed along with antifouling features to resist rough handling.
