It is shown that R-C active bandpass filters incorporating degenerative feedback networks are more suitable for economical audio filtering than their passive counterparts. The R-C active filters described in this paper are characterized by high attenuation outside the passband and extremely sharp corners at the break frequencies, and theoretically can have any passband gain and can match any input or load. Experimental results obtained with some filters of this type are presented.
