Methodology for Acoustical Data Gathering

Document Thumbnail

A comprehensive acoustical field survey cannot be inducted with commercially available equipment without extensive modifications and adaptations. Wind, rain, long runs of cable and atmospheric discharges compel the use of special microphone enclosures and amplifiers. Preserving the amplitude and phase linearity and the level reference is of special concern. The authors describe the equipment and methodology developed at CBS Laboratories to cope with these problems.
