The mechanical and the electrical components of the German-made Minifon are discussed in detail. The use of subminiature electronic components and watchmakers' techniques have resulted in a commercial 2 lb. 7 oz. battery-operated pocket magnetic wire recorder measuring but 13/8 x 43/8 x 65/8 in. Included are all essential components for record, playback, rewind, and erase.
