Dynamic Range Problems in Transistorized FM Receivers

The acceptance of the sufficiently wide area of signal levels without degradation of quality is a requirement which is difficult to satisfy with transistors in the rf and if sections. This paper describes associated problems and presents some solutions and related compromises necessary for a successful transistor receiver design.
