An Optical Aid for Designing Loudspeaker Clusters

Document Thumbnail

Finding the most effective orientation and location for each high-frequency horn in a complex loudspeaker cluster by geometric method is time-consuming and often inaccurate if the auditorium in itself has an intricate design. Valuable time can be saved by using a light source especially designed for this purpose, together with loudspeaker templates for drafting of elevations and plans for complex loudspeaker clusters. Photographed scale models aid the architect to incorporate the loudspeaker cluster in the general auditorium design.
