Document Thumbnail

The need for some way of controlling the dynamic range of high-quality audio program material when listening under less than perfect conditions is well understood, but are different methods of control advantageous or possible when more than two audio channels are present? The problems are discussed and it is shown how some brief tests have helped identify what control signals may be needed.
