The response of a guitar bridge pickup does not correspond to the acoustic radiation of the instrument. Digital signal processing is applied to obtain high-quality acoustic sound using only an elastic electret film pickup and properly designed digital filtering for equalization. The most promising results are obtained with long FIR filters with possibly one or more body resonances modeled with separate digital resonators, or with warped IIR filters.
