Electrothermal Response of Lead Zirconate Titanate Ceramics

Document Thumbnail

Some shapes of lead titanate zirconate (PZT) crystals have been found to respond electrically to bursts of warm air, such as those produced near the lips by spoken words. The transient response has been determined by measurement of the signal produced by an intermittent air stream. Waveforms characteristic of spoken words have been determined.
