An Electronic Dummy has been developed, which has capabilities for performing a wide variety of acoustical and electroacoustical tests. Providing an exact dimensional replica of the human head, including the simulation of natural flesh texture, it features a Vocal Simulator which produces peak levels up to 110 dB SPL at six inches and a highly advanced Aural Simulator which accurately measures sound pressures at both the eardrum and entrance to the ear canal. A unique hearing mode amplifier optionally provides automatic and continuously variable equal loudness contour equalization.
