The analysis of modern investigations of acoustic properties and timbres of the sounding different Russian bells was carried out. With the help of methods of mathematical modeling and experimental analysis, modes of vibration and sound radiation as well as spectral and transient characteristics were obtained, and their connections with the design parameters of different bells were established. Perception of quality of the sounding of ancient and modern Russian bells was also studied.:
