Conventional rerecording consoles are not ideally suitable for preparing master tapes in high speed duplicating production. To assure consistency between replicate masters having minimal additional distortion, noise, and phase error, a rerecording console is described meeting special requirements for quality, operating flexibility, and adaptability to different track configurations.
