Plots of laser measurements of the transient response of loudspeaker diaphragms show an interaction between outgoing and reflected waves and resulting distortion. This paper is concerned with the mathematical modeling of the same effect in a disk containing mismatched materials and with quantifying the reflection at the interface.:
