Design studies aimed at producing a constant speed turntable with rumble and wow reduced to the vanishing point led SONY engineers to develop a serv-controlled turntable featuring a slow-speed d-c motor. The result is a superior hi-fi turntable whose rotational speed is entirely independent of line frequency, tracking pressure and other outside influence.
