Educasting is a system of teaching through the use of FM subcarriers. Any FM station can use the Educasting system with the addition of a four track tape transport unit, an FM subcarrier generator and multiplexer and the associated subcarrier receivers. Pre-recorded tapes with the lecture, questions and associated response to the questions are necessary to put the system to work. With the specifications set up for the system, coverage of a 20 mile radius from the FM transmitter can be expected.
