Method for Multiple Wavetable Synthesis of Musical Tones Based on Complex Valued Principal Component Analysis

Document Thumbnail

Multiple wavetable synthesis (MWS) is based on the dynamic addition of fixed wavetables. The goal of a MWS analysis process is to define the wavetable set that matches a sound. Many methods have been envisioned but none took account of phase information. This paper introduces an original Complex Valued PCA (CVPCA) method that takes into account phase data.
