The issues of sound reinforcement systems for large halls of multiple functions is presented in this paper on the example of Hala Ludowa in Wroclaw. The described sound reinforcement system in Hala Ludowa was realized during the object's modernization and it now works. We are the authors of the sound reinforcement system design. The Hall was modernized for the purposes of the 94th International Eucharistic Congress which was held in Wroclaw in May last year. During the Congress our sound reinforcement system was used, not only for sound reinforcing in the building but also for radio and TV transmission. Hala Ludowa (People's Hall) in Wroclaw, originally called the Century Hall, was designed by the prominent architect Max Berg and constructed in 1913. It is the first ferro-concrete construction in the world, bigger that the Roman Pantheon. It is a grand monument of 20th century architecture. The Hall's volume is 180,000 m3, height 42 m, dome diameter 65m. The dimensions of the entire object are 150 x 150 m, floor surface of the central hall 3 200 m2. The auditorium can hold 6,000 spectators.
