A previous AES paper used listening tests to show that spatialization of speech could yield improved perceived performance over non-spatial reproduction, when peripheral babble or additional voices were present. Now additional tests investigate the spatialization performance of the transaural and ambisonic techniques and identify apparent discrepancies between which method permits most accurate localization which has the highest perceived performance.
