Schroeder diffusers are known as good, broadband sound scattering devices. Diffusers with variable acoustic impedances on surfaces are characterized by smaller sound scattering than Schroeder ones, however they have a plane shape. Combined Schroeder and variable acoustic impedance diffuser is a good solution. In the paper a computer simulation and some experimental results of sound scattering by these diffusers are presented.
