In this paper we investigate two techniques to analyze the audibility of nonlinear distortion in loudspeakers. First we add specific types of distortions using nonlinear digital signal processing. Listening tests, using the paired comparison test, were performed for harmonic interference and intermodulation distortions. Second, a model of a nonlinear electrodynamic loudspeaker in a closed cabinet is used to evaluate the audibility of nonlinear distortions. This listening test is performed using the N-interval forced choice method.
