This paper outlines a new technique for practical high-volume distribution of digital audio material throughout a production or broadcast facility. The system discussed enables a significant improvement in the number of simultaneous compressed or uncompressed audio channels which can be handled by a single centralized server, with minimal computer hardware requirements.
