Sigma-delta modulation (SDM) using switched-capacitor processing has found wide application in audio ADC and DAC systems. Recently, switched-current techniques have been proposed as a viable alternative in high-speed bitstream converters. Comparisons between switched-capacitor and current-switching are presented using simulations of 4th-order SDM.
