Calculated Response of a Compression Driver Using a Coupled Field Finite Element Analysis

Document Thumbnail

Finite Element Analysis is used to calculate the response of a standard compression driver. This is the first time this method has been demonstrated on such a complicated structure. Most of the significant response irregularities for the compression driver studied are discovered to be a result of acoustical resonances, as opposed to mechanical ones.
