The transformation curve to calculate data from free-field to diffuse-field listening conditions is well investigated and standardized in ISO 389-7. However, transformation curves obtained by former measurements of artificial heads show significant differences to the ISO curve. In order to clarify these deviations, new measurements of five artificial heads were carried out. If the mean transformation curve of the artificial heads is compared with the curves of the natural test subjects or with the transformation curve of the standard ISO 389-7 it can be seen that the significant deviations of the former investigations cannot be confirmed.
