The constructed HRTF measurement system and the applied procedure are described. Detailed repeatability analyses on HRTF measurements, obtained by miniature microphones at the entrance of the blocked and open meatus of dummy and real heads, show variations caused by ear-plug type, misplacement of capsule, subject movement and incorrect head position. Headphone-to-ear measurements show superior repeatability in the blocked meatus case.
