Filtered noise stimuli were used to determine the frequency sensitivity of the hearing nerve with the use of electrical stimulation. The experiments employed both a singleelectrode and a multi-electrode array. The results of such experiments allowed the collection of data which are necessary to define a model of electrically stimulated hearing. The obtained characteristics of the hearing nerve and discussion of procedures and the results are presented in the paper.
