Artificial Reverberation Based on a Pseudo-Random Impulse Response II

Document Thumbnail

High quality reverberation can be obtained by using a pseudo-random impulse response. The: starting point is a random segment, implemented by an FIR filter with a relatively short: length. A recursive filter is obtained by feedback of the filtered input signal using a delay and: scale factor. In Part I a basic configuration was investigated. In Part II we have optimized an: extended version including a low pass filter in the feedback loop. We have also investigated: the influence of different random distributions of the filter coefficients in the generating FIR: filter segment as well as random modulation of the exponential weighting factor.
