The response of guitar bridge pickups does not correspond to the acoustic radiation of the instrument. If authentic acoustic sound is desired, a mixture of pickup and air microphone signals is often used. In this study we apply digital signal processing to obtain high-quality acoustic sound using only an elastic electret film pickup and properly designed digital filtering for equalization.
