Conventional methods of audio postproduction involve manually adjusting speaker levels and effect feed levels to achieve a desired spatial sound effect. An alternative approach is presented where the speakers are used to render a full acoustic simulation. An acoustical simulation tool (the SP1) allows the user to animate sources in a virtual acoustical environment to produce the desired effect.
