Cluster Design with EASE for Windows

Document Thumbnail

In contrast to the DOS version, EASE for Windows allows the phase-correct addition of the directivity characteristics of individual radiators. By means of an Edit Module it is to this effect possible to visualize the various components of the cluster and to aim them properly. View options ensure correct aiming of the individual radiators with regard to the room area to be covered. After selection of the cluster's main radiation direction, the overall characteristic is ascertained, thereby allowing to compare the results of a complex summation on the full sphere with those of an incorrect power summation (hitherto usual in CAD programs). The cluster routine enables third-octave smoothing for angle ranges between 1" and 5'. For frequency-related acquisition of the individual radiator data the calculating routine uses graphical tools as well as pre-established filter functions for simplified entering.
