Two types of eighth-order symmetrical band-pass loudspeaker system with an active electrical filter are analyzed. The reactance transformation method is used for the analysis. The main conclusion is that it is physically impossible to obtain optimum parameters of the maximally flat alignment and the equal-ripple alignment-merely their more or less close approximation.
