New applications like 3-D surround sound listening and portable players have elevated the importance of headphones. Unfortunately as sound passes through headphones, its frequency content is modified. This problem is especially severe with cheaper headphones. It is therefore desirable to design and implement a headphone equalizer to improve the quality of hearing.
