Jitter Tolerance of a Digital Audio Receiver

The jitter tolerance of the AES3/EBU-type digital audio receiver is evaluated and verified experimentally with an injection-type clock recovery circuit. Further analysis reveals that the jitter tolerance of the clock recovery circuit using only the preamble of the frame is far less than that using the whole set of data. Finally, the predistortion technique to compensate the capacitance effect of the cable is described.:
