The Expansion of Electronic Signals Back into Acoustic Space-An Introduction to FSS

Document Thumbnail

This paper discusses the Fractal Spatial System (FSS) loudspeaker technology, which has adapted the Quadratic Residue Diffuser technology first described by Manfred Schroeder in 1979. A passively generated wavelet function of nonphase expands the acoustic environment from information encoded naturally into the signal. FSS is compatible with all artificial encoders and has unique properties that, for a passive system, may well define the future of sound reproduction.
