The design of analog conversions for large-scale digital mixing systems poses some particular problems. Due to the large quantities of conversions involved, the need for a cost-efficient approach often conflicts with the requirement for exceptional signal quality and reliability in a demanding professional environment. The approach described aims to identify the important parameters necessary to achieve high sound quality and presents some effective solutions to these issues.
